I am a bundle of energy and ecclectic interests one being children since I was a child myself. The ability to contribute to the development of young minds is a passion of mine. I graduated from George Mason University with a double major in Psychology with a concentration in Child Psychology and Conflict Resolution, obtained a mediator certification and currently work at Child and Family Counseling Group in Fairfax. Raised by a special education teacher and speech pathologist (mother) and a fther in the field of Neuropsychology, I have had a unique ability to learn neurobiological aspects of special need children, education, and had the pleasure to work with a wide range of children with disabilities. In highschool I assist taught at Country Day School, accredited by the National Association of the Education of Young Children. School's curriculum is early childhood developmental by "encouraging the growth of children’s thought processes, the development of their conceptual understanding, and their ability to observe, analyze, predict, and make conclusions about the world. " This opportunity gave me the first hand experience of education in early developmental milestones. In particular social skills such as listening to others, recognition and behavioral difficulties. In college I worked as a camp counselor in Drama Camp and one on one with the children who required one on one attention and care. I developed strong relationships with these kids as trust and progress was made. In particular through my counseling experiences, childcare, and now as a Neuropsychological technician I have a comprehnsive knowledge of the field. As a neuropsychological technician, I assist the Neuropsychologist in preperation, assessment, and research diagnostic for patients recieving testing. I observed and participate in the room with especially hypoeractive and socially imparied children. Test evaluations are to measure patients concentration/attention, memory, learning, intellectual, motor, sensory, emotional and personality. Using clinicians interviews with teachers, family members, or spouses and the test themselves the best treatment options are recommended. In cases of high level of cognitive or mental functionality, results helps clients receive disability or security clearances. Scored completed neuropsychological tests.
